Our Process

Draftinger is a professional drafting team and strive to provide our clients an efficient and cost effective drafting process inorder to minimize any risk and potential issues with the City of Edmonton permitting requirements. For every given project, our team will guide our client throughout the entire work process. This way, we ensure our client is informed.

Our Edmonton drafting services process includes but are not limited to the following (depending the needs of the project) work process:

1. we will first meet with you at our office or on site to go over your development or service require.
2. once the scope of service is defined, we will then prepare a service quote for your review and approval.
3. once our service quote has been approved, our team will schedule a detail site visits to the property. If Engineers are require, they will be attending the detail site visit as well.
4. multiple site visits maybe required depending on the size and complexity of the project.
5. during each site visit, our team will meet with you as required to define potential areas of concerns.
6. once we have completed our site visits, we will prepare an assessment report to you outlining the areas of concerns as it relates to the project ie: any building system issues (if the project is inside a building), potential issues relating to the Edmonton Development and Building Permits, construction costs, Edmonton Bylaw or code issues etc.
7. once we have completed the above items, our team will begin the drafting work and this maybe divided into different stage depending on the complexity of the project. For projects such as basement development, secondary suite development or decks, multiple drafting stage will not be required. Multiple stages are only required when design development is required and if the drafting team require design approval s from you.
8. we will coordinate with other consultants as require such as Engineers and other consultants as required.
9. as a apart of the drafting process, our team will also provide Bylaw and code review/analysis to the project as well.
10. When the drafting work is completed, our team will meet with you again to review the drawings to ensure the project objectives have been met.
11. Once the drawings are approved and signed off by you, our team will coordinate the permit submission process with the City of Edmonton for both the Development and Building Permits.
